PEPPER BEAN! Can we start a tea journal? We could tape tea bag tags and write where we drank it, what we were doing, and where we thinking while drinking our tea. <3
^Knightling, can we please do this?

SHERLOCK TEA COLLECTION GIVE AWAY!
Awesome news guys! The cool folks at Adagio have been kind enough to help out with a giveaway for a complete collection of the Sherlock Tea blends. That is 11 bags of different tea featuring art work by yours truly. That’s about 50 servings in each bag. More if you re-steep your tea (which is possible with most of them). That is a LOT of tea. How bonkers is that? Very. It’s awesome. Here’s the lowdown on how to win A WHOLE BUNCH OF TEA.
- Anyone ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD can enter! If you live outside of the U.S. I’ll foot the bill to get you some tea myself. Because odds are you are awesome and you deserve it.
- You do not have to be following me to win, but it might be helpful to keep track of updates or changes (if any). Plus I plan to make some blends for other fandoms in the future, so if tea is your thing, it might not be a bad idea?
- Only two reblogs a day allowed.I did not realize how often people would reblog my last give away soooo I’m going to enforce this LOL. You can reblog on as many days as you’d like, but yeah, only 2 reblogs a day please. I’ll be checking.
- The give away will end and I will choose a winner on Wednesday March 7th. I’ll probably choose late at night on that day, so I’m going to say I’ll stop counting reblogs at 10 p.m. EST.
- [ADDED] LIKES DON’T COUNT. Sorry! You have to reblog!
A big thanks to Adagio for hooking us up with some awesome tea, and for all of you for following me and encouraging my tea-y ways! Good luck everyone!

Good Morning, Tumblr!
My day is starting with one cup of green tea and two no-doz. In a time that is now, in a land that is here, before 10am exists on a Saturday—even when I’m not in debate rounds, on airplanes or switching buses. I am shocked. Even more surprising, thanks to the fuel for a foodgeeking afternoon, I don’t mind learning first hand. My dearest foodie unschoolers/edupunks/tumblrites…the link above involves artistry, sweet tastes, pretty colors and a savory tidbit of food history. In other words, enjoy. :)
I want to participate in a full tea ceremony one day. I also want plane tickets and thigh high socks. I am a predictable creature. These both must wait while experience funds and health stability are playing hopscotch. In the meantime, I will also happily desire Chambre de Sucre ’s imports into the US and the elusive treat of these Higashi or, in Aubrish, sweet sunshiners of pastel sugar art. If I could get my hands on them, how would I enjoy them? A birthday tea party? Unbirthday tea party? Have any of you fancy followers had a chance to experience a tea ceremony? Should I post photos here once I get to experience these tasty tidbits in the not-flesh? Let me know in my fairly misnamed ask box.
For further edutainment, Saveur has been my go-to place for newbie foodie get-away-from-everything-but-the-kitchen lately. The introvert fuzzy space in my crowded heart has a particularly soft spot for Seánan Forbes’ food writing. She has a talent for dishing pieces that are new to my mind and novel to the tastebuds. My reactions have been split evenly between gleeful web searching and urgent trips to the grocery store to buy ingredients. A pretty good way to start, or end, any deschooling day.
To beating memes and being happily awake before 8 am,
Aubry
PS-If you find yourself happy and hungry too, please recommend this article so Saveur keeps posting content that is beloved by “viewers like you”. Thank you. :)
